We are a shop, not a congregation. But you should know who is behind the counter before you buy from us.
What we hold
We hold that Yeshua of Nazareth is the Mashiach promised to Israel — the Aleph and the Tav, the first and the last. Our name is His.
We hold that the Scriptures of Israel and the writings of the New Covenant are the word of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and that the God who gave the Torah at Sinai is the same God who raised Yeshua.
We hold that God has not cast away His people Israel, and that the appointed times He gave — the moedim — are worth keeping, worth learning, and worth marking in a home.
What we do not adjudicate
Our customers include Messianic Jewish households who keep rabbinic tradition and Hebrew Roots families who do not. They disagree with each other about real things: whether Torah obligation falls the same way on Jew and gentile, which calendar reckoning is correct, how the divine Name should be spoken and written, and whether Chanukah belongs on a believer's table.
We are not going to settle those questions from a product page. We have opinions, like everyone does. But it would be a strange kind of arrogance to make you pass a doctrinal exam before we will sell you a shofar.
So here is our practice instead: we label things accurately and we let you decide. When a calendar follows the rabbinic reckoning, we say so. When a shofar cannot be blown, we say so. When a mezuzah case has no scroll in it, we say so in the title. You bring your convictions; we will bring straight answers about what we are actually selling.
What that means for you
You can filter this shop to your own tradition, or browse the whole thing. Nothing is hidden from anyone. If we stock something your household would not use, it will be labeled clearly enough that you can skip it without having to ask.
And if we get something wrong — a description, a claim, a transliteration — tell us. We would rather be corrected than be confidently mistaken in front of people who know better.
Questions about anything on this page are welcome. Write to us and a person will answer.
